Jenny French From Sussex | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST :)My thoughts and prayers are with the McCanns. I just hope their little Madeleine will be re-united with them soon. We must not give up hope even if the police in Portugal appear to be. somebody somewhere must know where she is. No one disappears into thin air, without trace. Someone must have her. |

aine From glasgow | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST Remembered this poem/prayer and thought of the mccann's. may God bless madeleine, the mccann's and their family through this terrible time. Don't Quit When things go wrong, as they sometimes will When the road you're trudging seems all uphill When the funds are low and the debts are high And you want to smile, but you have to sigh When care is pressing you down a bit Rest, you must - but don't you quit Life is queer with its twists and turns As everyone of us sometimes learns And many a failure turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out Don't give up, though the pace seems slow You might succeed with another blow Success is failure turned inside out, the silver tint of the clouds of doubt And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit It's when things seem worst, That you MUST NOT QUIT! by Quinton Howell

Jakob From Denmark | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST As I see it someone must have stalked the family with the purpose of kidnapping the poor little girl. It seems unlikely that someone would enter the apartment by coincidence. I also find it unlikely that anyone would kill the girl on the spot and remove her – especially if they were aware of the periodic checks performed by the parents and friends. Nobody does anything without a reason or without some kind of gain. What would be the gain of killing the girl instantly? Is has been established that the crime happened at night (late in the evening) and while the girl was left unprotected. This again points away from a coincidental crime. Furthermore there are no (or very little) clues or evidence: Again, it cannot be a coincidental crime. It must have been well planned and the family must have been stalked. There is an enormous reward for credible information; yet no credible information has surfaced. This tells me that very few people are involved and that the girl is very important and/or precious to who ever took her. Usually that kind money would make any criminal alliance crack – especially over the time frame which has now passed. Considering the above I would guess that there could be very few reasons for the kidnapping. Money is more or less ruled out, so one love or hate remains. Was the girl taken by someone who adored her, or was she taken by someone who wanted to inflict unbelievable emotional pain on the McCanns? There is also the probability of a freak crime committed by a really sick person – but it just seems unlikely. I believe that such a person leave traces. Just my thoughts. I hope that the poor girl will be found soon so that she can be reunited with her parents. |

jen pilling From germany | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST Ive just returned from our holiday in Fuerteventura and was really pleased to see all the 'find Madeleine' posters around. They were absolutely everywhere from the airports (dusseldorf & fuerteventura) to lamp-posts, bars, supermarkets and souvenir shops. You are doing a fantastic job in keeping this in the public eye and i truly hope she is safe at home with you very very soon.

paul flanagan From somerset | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST I have just returned from Tunisia and noticed that Maddie posters were situated in both the arrivals and departure areas at Monastir airport. Our representative from My Travel informed me that they had been briefed and supplied with photos of Madeleine, and had been asked to checked daily any new families arriving with little girls in accommodation that they visited, and also when on airport runs. Several Tunisian shops and restaurants also had posters of Madeleine displayed in full public view. |
