alice From cornwall.uk | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST I feel sick over the terrible news from Portugal.Surely there is someone in our pathetic Government that can step in and try to stop the Portuguese police torturing the McCanns. Thank God I do not live in Portugal, and I would urge anyone thinking of visiting that country not to go. I have been there and had to visit a police station to report something and found them to be the most intimidating bunch I have ever met in my life - and that was twenty years ago. They have messed this investigation up from the very first day, and now all that they can come up with is to put the blame on the parents who are suffering such pain and have done from the first minute their daughter was snatched away from them. The whole investigation has been like something out of Clouseou film and if it were not a real situation - would be laughable. I have read replies in other sites obviously from people in the uk who have written the most obscene things and they should be prosecuted for their vile blogs. I personally will be praying every day for this ordeal to be over for these parents quickly. There must be one police official in Portugal that is a normal sane human being who can end this farce. I pray that this couple will get strength to survive this ordeal mentally and physically. I am not a card holder of any religion but I am a spiritual person and I believe that evil will be beaten in the end, and the honour of this couple will be restored, and even more the return of their daughter. Keep your courage Kate and Gerry - with loving wishes to you both. Alice |

| Bernardine | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST I have just heard the interview on This Morning by Philomena and she is furious and disgusted in the way the Portuguese police are treating Kate and Gerry,I TOO AM FURIOUS ON THIS TREATMENT!!! These police have been incompetant from day one,if they had acted sooner then Madeleine would have been found by now. They have no one else to blame so they have targeted Kate and Gerry,I am furious. What the hell are they going to say when it is proved that these 2 people are completely innocent?,a simple sorry perhaps?. While they are homing in on Kate and Gerry the real abductor is out there free as a bird, let them concentrate on finding the real horrific person not home in on Maddies parents. The one good thing we can all say once this is over and they find Madeleine and the abducted,is we told you so. I feel it in my heart this this precious child is alive and out there somewhere waiting to be found. They have to carry on looking, they just have to.

Bernardine Sharp From Manchester | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST I was horrified to see the way the news people treated Kate today on the way to the police station, once they were there to help you both, now they are out to crucify you. Please stay strong and hold your heads high,we all know you have done nothing at all to harm this beautiful child of yours. When the truth finally comes out there will be so many people who will hang their heads in shame for the nasty comments they have put in newspapers and forum boards. Let them walk in your shoes for just one day, then they will realise how tragic this situation really is. Keep strong Kate and Gerry,God willing you will soon be taken out of this hell that you are both going through right now.

Colette From Preston | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST I just wanted to say to the McCanns, don't blame yourselves. I know you will constantly wish something had happened differently that night but many many many times I've judged my own children's situation to be safe in some way (for example how far away they play on the park, or when they can walk two houses along to call on a friend) and luckily for me I've never suffered the consequences. You unfortunately were the victims of someone who was just looking for an opportunity and he could have taken that opportunity while you were showering as easily as when you were at the restaurant. Please put the blame where it lies: with the person who took Madeleine. |
