| Julie | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST The Portuguese police have been incompetent and now they are trying to save face. No-one believes their farcical accusations. Do not worry what people might 'think' if you come home. Do what you feel is right. After all, this is your home, and you have the twins to consider. My thoughts are with you often, as are many others'. Stay strong - you have proved that you are amazing at this. With love, Julie. |

karen Hesketh & fami From standish wigan | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST There are some evil and wicked people, jumping on a Portuguese press bandwagon, spreading lies, and rumours instead of helping you in your search. Why do such people cause such misery, how would they feel if it was them? You are better at home, we don't believe any of the slanderous rubbish written or reported about you. God Bless |

Keep taking one day at a time. I will keep you all in my prayers. |

| Cathy Foster | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST This is a copy of the e-mail I sent to Sir Peter Soulsby and Gordon Brown. Stay strong as a couple whatever happens. Too many people would get too much satisfaction from seeing you crumble. Apart you're weak. Together you're strong. ----- Original Message ----- From: Cathy Foster To: soulsbyp@parliament.uk Sent: Friday, September 07, 2007 6:55 PM Subject: Madeline Mcgann case. Dear Sir, I am increasingly concerned about the handling of the disappearance of Madeliene McCann in Portugal. I would very much appreciate you taking the time to read my e-mail. Madeline's poor mother has been questioned for over 12 hours because blood has been found in a car her and her husband hired. I wouldn't think the Portugese hire companies have scrupulous valeters. If the police are convinced Madeline was in the car I would have expected the line of enquiry to include every person who had hired and/or driven that car in the last three months. To begin by interviewing the mother is so appalling that I think it warrants Government intervention. I'm not suggesting the police in Portugal are corrupt but I am suggesting that because of the profile of the case they need a result for many reasons. Least of all justice. For example I would think Portugal has lost tourism, International prestige and moral credibility as a country because of this case. I am afraid that the Mcganns will be used as scapegoats so that the police can appear successful. Mr and Mrs Mcgann are intelligent, dignified people. The police won't like that because being a bit brutish and a bit thick they'll feel uncomfortable. Please can you devote some time to looking into this situation and see if Government intervention at a more political level might be appropiate. Sir Peter do you really think that these two hard-working and respected people, living in a rural community where they were well liked, killed their own daughter whilst on holiday in Portugal? It's the stuff of Columbo. Kind regards, Cathy Foster. |

Bernardine Sharp From Manchester,UK | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST I truly hope that both Kate and Gerry take a look at these messages we have been sending to them, then they will realise they are not alone. We will NOT allow the Portuguese police to end the search for little Madeleine, and as for the report that this inquiry could take up to a full year to complete is so farcical and completely nonsense. Do they honestly think everyone will just forget about Madeleine now that Kate and Gerry are back home??, our sadness and grieving for this lost little child is beginning to turn into anger. We MUST not allow them to forget this precious child. I will be wearing my Madeleine wristband on my wrist until the day Madeleine comes home,no matter how long it may take. Keep strong Kate and Gerry. |
