Nina From Cornwall | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST Like many people, my life is on hold until Madeleine is found. She has highlighted the terrible problem the world over that is child abduction and trafficking. Gerry and Kate, despite their grieving, are doing a fantastic job to protect other children from the dreadful fate they have found themselves in. We can all help look for Madeleine. If everyone does their bit, she will be found. My message for Gerry and Kate?. Keep looking up. ( to God) |

Katharine From Sussex | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST I have wanted to write a message of support for a long time. What happened last year could so easily have happened to any family. You were only yards away from your children, checking on them regularly and never suspecting for one second that they could be in any sort of danger. There is no blame attached to you whatsoever and the agony you must have gone ( and be still going) through with the loss of Madeleine and the hounding by the press is unimaginable. My children are in their 20s now, and hopefully safe from such vile predators. One day, I so hope that you will find peace in the eventual outcome Katharine |

LYDIA REID From EDINBURGH | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST Kate and Jerry I just don't know how you cope with the treatment you get from the portuguese police. So many have a lot to complain about with our law enforcement but I cannot believe they would ever behave like this. One day you will be able to prove your innocence and then they will be forced to eat their words and their are many of us would like to feed them to them. Well done on the new child alert system, if it is the only good thing to come out of Maddie's disappearance it may help other children. Stay strong both of you, still saying a prayer for you. |

Debs From Scotland | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST I feel I have to say something about the Shannon Matthews situation. I watched the documentary her parents were involved in and am absolutely disgusted that they had the nerve to berate the McCanns and moan about the fact that they left their children alone and were able to get money from strangers, something that the Matthew's family couldnt do apparantly because of the area they live. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE SHAM!! To think that they now had something to do with what happened to Shannon and for them to act the way did is appaling me. They should remember that they got Shannon home in a relatively short time, seemingly unscathed while Maddie, who is so much more younger and must be terrified, is still without her family god only knows where. The McCanns might have been classed as suspects, but they certainly havent been arrested as have most of the Matthews clan. There is something odd about Shannons case and it makes me sick to my stomach to think of what happened. I have my ideas though! As a proffessional woman who cant have anymore children, i am disgusted that Karen Matthews can make as many children as she likes with all different men and then do this to her own daugter. She should never be allowed to see those children again, she is a hazzard to them. I pray for Maddie everyday and still cling to the hope that one day she will be reunited with her family. To Kate and Gerry - please dont ever think that you are tarred with the same brush as the Matthews and I am sorry if you heard what they said about you and your plight on the documentary. I am so livid about the whole thing!! Best Wishes Debs xx |

Kirstie From Market Harborough | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST Hi Kate and Gerry I have so much admiration for you both in the way that you continue in your search for beautiful Madeleine in the face of so much adversity. Every time I look at my two daughters, I think of Madeleine and I really hope that wherever she is, she is safe and happy and will soon be returned to you. To lose a child is surely the worst thing that could ever happen, but with so much media speculation you must find it very hard to keep going. You seem to be a very close, loving couple and I pray that you will be reunited with your lovely girl very soon. You are in my heart always, but especially during the coming month of May which will be so painful for you. Keep strong, Kirstie. x |

marit From oslo, | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST I think of madeleine every day - what happen - and where she is. If she is dead I pray the body must be found so that her parents finally can get peace in their heart. Those who did that to a little girl are not human beings - and their brains are smaller than a rat. What a pain her parents are going through!! With love marit

Enid From North East | Signed On: Thu 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 CST Dear Kate, Gerry & family. What can I possibly say. It's been almost a year. Every day I think of Madeleine and where she could be and I pray for you all on a regular basis. As a mother it's painful to even think of any harm coming to either of my children. You have my full admiration and respect for keeping it together for the sake of the twins. It's beyond me how you manage. I can't help feeling that Maddy is still out there and I for 1 will not stop looking. I wish I could win the Lottery so I could offer a huge reward for her return. Never give up and never give in. If going on TV funds further investigation then do it. I would. I'd do almost anything if it meant people wouldn't forget. Keep fighting and may God bless and keep you all. |
